Launch of World Bank Ghana Office - Knowledge Space
In a special invitation to the public, the World Bank Ghana Country Manager Mr. Ishac Diwan says: "The World Bank, since its founding more than six decades ago by member countries including Ghana, has accumulated a huge reservoir of development knowledge which, in a recent client survey conducted in Ghana , was named as almost equally important as the financial resources the Bank provides to Ghana. Based on far reaching reforms to its disclosure policy by World Bank, almost all of this knowledge has been made available to the general public in hard and soft copy and on-line. The World Bank Ghana Office seeks to make this even more readily accessible to Ghanaians, and this is why we have overhauled and revamped the Public Information Center (PIC) and have re-named it as Knowledge Space. A more holistic and proactive approach to knowledge sharing and dialogue promotion will be our mission. As a result, the Knowledge Space consists of a complete package including print and electronic materials, a conference room, a video conference facility and relevant audio-visual equipment. It also comes with the entire staff and affiliates of the World Bank, who are ready and willing to engage in knowledge exchange and technical assistance, and who are all ready and willing to be of service to you."
The event is on Friday October 9, 2009, at 2:30 pm. at the World Bank Country Office. Find full address below:
